I work in graphite powder and charcoal, sometimes ink.

To me, art is an ongoing conversation with the world. My drawings often suggest animistic presence in nature and common things, or depict impossible objects in a casual light. I try to reveal what is dismissed as trivial in our world, lend mystery to the obvious, and substance to the ephemeral.

I like to believe that the big myths of our past are still with us, beneath the pretense of rationality. Gods and ghosts have retreated to the junk yards, alleys and thrift stores, but they remain.
